An exhilarating three day NVIDIA AI hackathon wrapped up this afternoon in Toronto with the Xanu Founder Jeremy K and team of 6 other talented applicants, out on top winning the ‘Public Services’ track. Our app combined local LLMs, with Nemoclaw Hermes’ agents, vision w/ text to speech and City of Toronto open data to help people with Dementia and other memory affected diseases feel less isolated. 
The project:
BELONG is a private, on-device AI companion for people living with dementia — and the caregivers who support them. It runs 100% locally on the NVIDIA Spark (GB10): no cloud, no data leaving the home. Voice, memory, faces, schedules, moods, photos, and city services all stay on the device.
